We produce impactful and culturally resonant feature documentaries together with scripted and unscripted box set series diving deep into history to tell untold stories, create strange than fiction drama projects and deliver new content and pilot new IP and ideas through POD and VOD cast programming.
We attract international partners to deliver visually compelling content for our global broadcast and streaming partners. As experts in major co-productions we utilise Irish, UK and European tax credits, UK film grants and schemes, commissioning and distribution partners and equity finance to meet budget demands.
We partner with the world's leading talent and production companies to create award winning content exploring the past and present. Current partnerships include Oscar-winning producers Consequential in Los Angeles and Seattle (Summer of Soul & Endurance), Beetz Brothers in Berlin (Juan Carlos: Downfall of the King & In The Shadow of Beirut) and Indie Movie Company in Belfast (The Lovers & Good Vibrations). .
A recent multi-format project for global partners required an unprecedented deal between NETFLIX and the BBC for a premium content co-production delivering a psychological profile of the now infamous US car mogul John Deloreann, told through never before seen footage shot by Oscar winning director, DA Pennebaker. This complex deal delivered three bespoke documentaries, a (Grierson nominated) feature length documentary for BBC 2 and a two- part seriesfor BBC Northern Ireland and a globally facing three-part box-set for NETFLIX. Today Futureland is using its four years of research to create a multi-part DELOREAN scripted series for global broadcast.
